What are you going to do when you go to your vacation home up north and it is a 50 degree day and pouring down rain. Sit inside and watch TV? Go shopping? Of course if you choose to sit by the gas fireplace and watch the rain hit the water, you can. But, if you have children or grandchildren with you, they tire of this quickly. This is the main reason Sunset Shores Resort built the Clubhouse. A vacation home should be about more than just geography. In perfect weather, go enjoy all of the splendors that Northern Michigan has to offer; but when the weather outside is less than ideal, don't count the vacation done. The weather inside is a perfect 87 degrees and the water is a balmy 85.

Does your vacation home need an indoor pool? How about a hot tub? An exercise room? Or even a steam room? Maybe it doesn’t need one, but if it is there, would you use it? Absolutely.

Sunset Shores Resort in December of 2003 completed an incredible 7,000 square foot Clubhouse. The Clubhouse offers such amenities as an indoor pool, a hot tub, an exercise room, and yes, a steam room.

The Members' Lounge The Clubhouse offers a Members' Lounge which is a perfect location for a family reunion, or a business meeting. With its 50 inch plasma TV and its 1200 square feet of space it is the ultimate spot to watch the big game with friends or family. In fact the Clubhouse has two plasma TVs--one in the Members' Lounge, and one in the lobby area. All of these amenities are available at an additional low monthly charge depending on type of ownership.
